Hello and welcome to Technopashto! My name is waris and this is the unboxing of TECNO Spark 5 Pro. and our quick review.

For quite some time now, TECNO is launching amazing phones in the budget and mid-range market segment.

TECNO has given some good features at a lower price and made their own city in the market. And our today’s device is also one of the devices, in which under lower price range, TECNO has provided some excellent features. Like a hole-punch cutout, a big battery and a quad-camera setup.

Our device for today comes with a 4GB RAM and a 64GB built-in storage. And its retailed price is given Rs 20,000/- It is available in one more variant, with a 4GB RAM and 128GB built-in storage and the retailed price for that one is Rs 21,500/- But it is possible that you might get these phones at a lower price as well. And if you are interested in buying this phone, then I will leave a link in the description box below.

Do check that out! The launch event of this phone is tomorrow, which is 7th June 2020 We will talk about that later. That’s all for the intro.

Let’s move towards the unboxing now. Keep watching! If you are new to our website, then please subscribe.

And turn on the notifications. So whenever there is a new article uploaded, you will be notified of it. Now, let’s start the unboxing. our device today is with a warranty of Air-link. And some features of this phone are highlighted on the box, Dot Display, Quad Camera, Huge Battery And an Octa-Core Processor. We will talk about this later on.

First, let’s open the box and check what else do we get. Here is the handset, as soon as the box is opened. But before we look into it, let’s look at the remaining contents of the box.

There are some User Manuals with the handset. There is a warranty card for 13 months. And a frosted Silicon Case. Moving forward, there is a 10W which is 2Amp, localized power brick.

There is also a micro USB cable and a handsfree headset. Now, let’s talk about the phone. We will start with the design. Because of being a budget phone, the back and frame of TECNO Spark 5 Pro is of Plastic.

The finish on the back is a little glossy and this Seabed Blue colour is a gradient colour which is blue at the top whereas green at the bottom. The phone is quite comfortable to hold, and the phone also has some weight to it, due to its big battery. If we talk about the button placements and ports, then, on the right side of the phone there is a Screen On/Off and Power button in Red colour, on top which, there are Volume buttons. On the left side, there is the dual SIM tray of the phone.

And at the bottom, there is the speaker grill, a micro USB port, mic and a headphone jack. The fingerprint sensor of this phone is given on the back, and if we talk about the speed, I wouldn’t say its fast but its not slow either. In daily usage, it is manageable, according to me.

Talking about the display, in TECNO Spark 5 Pro there is 6.6 inches of Dot-in LCD Display which has a resolution of HD+ that is 720 x 1600. And its pixel density is 265 PPI. This display is named Dot-in because there is this hole-punch cutout on its top left side. Which has the selfie camera of this phone? And on top of the display, there is also a pre-applied screen protector.

Moving forward we will talk about the major selling point of this phone, and that is that there is quad-camera setup on its back in which there is a 16MP main sensor, a 2MP macro camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and a QVGA sensor. Whereas on the front, there is an 8MP selfie shooter.

Meaning that in total this phone come with 5 Cameras. And if we talk about the video recording, the maximum video recording resolution of the back is set to 1080p at 30 frames per second. Now in a quick review it is hard to give a full analysis of the camera. But for your reference I have put some image samples, so you can check them out. And you can see that this camera is of very basic quality. Moving forward we will talk about the specifications and performance of TECNO Spark 5 Pro, so, in this phone, a MediaTek’s Helio P20 chipset is given which is based on 12nm architecture.

Along with it, there is a Power VR GE8230 GPU. If we talk about the performance, let’s go through some of the benchmark scores, so, in Geekbench 4 the single-core score of the phone came out to be 745 whereas the multicore score came out to be 3797, And on the other hand, in Antutu benchmarks the score of the phone came out to be 98275. As you can see, it has a very basic performance you can not expect that much high performance with this phone.

But, because of having an Octa-core processor this phone easily will handle your apps for daily usage, the normal type of apps Facebook, WhatsApp, Youtube, that kind of things This phone can be great for video content consumption And if you do some casual gaming then PUBG, in this phone, will run on low setting, but it would definitely be playable Now if we talk about the interface, inside of TECNO Spark 5 Pro there is TECNO’s own HiOS.

Which is a lot similar Infinix’s XOS in this interface you will get a little bit of bloatware in this phone and you will see ads in some places. But you can uninstall this bloatware and all the ads can also be disabled.

I have shown this method in my review of TECNO Pouvoir 4 and also in Infinix S5 Pro review. If you want to know that you can go and check those articles out. But when you disable the ads and uninstall the bloatware after that you will get a very clean and smooth interface. Along with it, the phone comes with a full dual SIM support, that is you can insert 2 SIM and an SD card in it all together.

Moving forward we will talk about, the battery and charging setup of the TECNO 5 Pro. We get a 5,000 mAh huge battery over here, Along with which, as mentioned earlier, a 10W power brick is given. Although there is no fast charging here, it’s still a lot better than the 5W power brick. If we talk about the charging time, this phone will take more than 3 hours to be fully charged. But once it is charged, you will get great battery life. A big battery, a 720p display along with an Helio P22 processor means that this phone will give you 1.5 to 2 days very easily.

And if your usage is light, I will not be surprised if it gives you 3 days as well. So if good battery life is your priority, then I would definitely recommend you to check out TECNO Spark 5 Pro. In the last, I would just like to say that, in my opinion, TECNO has started to give very interesting features in a budget price segment. Especially, hole punch cutout, quad-camera setup, big batteries, these are all the things, that we rarely used to see in a budget price segment, a while ago.

According to me, this phone, for an average user or for those who watch a lot of videos on their phones and consume media, as well as for those who want a phone with good battery life, this can be a good option for them. And its launch is tomorrow, which is 7th June 2020, at 7:00 pm. And if you want to win a TECNO Spark 5 Pro, then do check that launch event out.

Details for how to participate in the lucky draw would be given in it. What are your thoughts about TECNO Spark 5 Pro? Do let me know in the comment section below. That is all for this article. I hope you liked it. I will meet you in the next one. Goodbye!
